Ladder hanger design for application on external TP ladder

Following the launch of Seasight Solutions’ Ladder Hanger Classic WLL 230 used for installation inside wind turbine towers one of our long-standing customers in the wind industry sent a query for a ladder hanger for installation on the external TP ladder with diamond shaped rungs.

Within fourteen days of receiving the query Seasight Solutions decided to design a ladder hanger compatible with the external ladder of the transition piece. After less than four months the new Adaptive Ladder Hanger was launched.

The lightweight Adaptive Ladder Hanger has several features that make it an ideal tool for various stages of wind turbine operations:

High Load Capacity with Lightweight Design: Despite its ability to carry up to 200 kg, the Adaptive Ladder Hanger itself weighs only 8.5 kg. This makes it easy for a single operator to handle and install.

Quick and Easy Installation: In just three simple steps, the Adaptive Ladder Hanger locks onto the ladder, ready for use. This user-friendly design ensures that even in critical situations, the hanger can be deployed swiftly and efficiently by a single user.

Versatile Usage: Ideal for scenarios where hoisting equipment is unavailable or malfunctioning, during breakdowns, or when there’s a lack of power on the TP. It’s also perfect for use during the turbine erection phase, making it a versatile tool for various stages of wind turbine operations.

Durable and Approved: The Adaptive Ladder Hanger is type approved according to DNV-ST-0378 – Loose Gear, ensuring it meets stringent offshore standards. It’s equipped with protective thermoplastic sleeves to reduce surface pressure on the TP ladder coating.
