Press release: Hvide Sande, Denmark, August 17, 2026. Seasight Solutions, part of Seasight Group and a Danish engineering and manufacturing company specialising in advanced equipment and customised solutions, and STARK, Europe’s fastest-growing defence technology company, have entered into a partnership to establish Nordic production of Vanta, STARK’s unmanned surface vessel (USV). Production will take place at Seasight Solutions’ facilities in Ringkøbing, Denmark.
Through the partnership, Seasight and STARK will develop Denmark’s most advanced unmanned vessel to date – the country’s first unmanned maritime platform designed to integrate and deploy weapon systems, moving beyond surveillance only. The first vessel is scheduled for production in October 2026, amid strong interest across the Baltic Sea region and demand for short delivery timelines.
The Danish-German partnership marks the next step in STARK’s Nordic expansion, following the March opening of its Engineering and Development hub in Stockholm, Sweden, and STARK’s other collaboration with Nordic defence technology companies. The production of Vanta will also support the scaling of STARK’s Baltic Shadow Initiative, which uses autonomous maritime systems to help NATO allies monitor suspicious activity, protect critical infrastructure and deter hybrid threats in the Baltic Sea.
Strengthening Nordic supply chains
Since entering the Nordic region, STARK has been working to establish local production of its unmanned systems with experienced industrial partners. Denmark combines a strong maritime industrial base with a strategic position at the gateway to the Baltic Sea, making it a key location for building Nordic production capacity and more resilient regional supply chains.
By establishing production in Denmark with Seasight Solutions, a family-owned Danish industrial company with a 75-year heritage, STARK is strengthening Nordic supply chains, local production and sustainment capacity, supporting NATO’s need for unmanned capabilities that can be produced, maintained and rapidly deployed in the region. The partnership also reflects deepening Danish-German defence cooperation and a shared commitment to strengthening security in the Baltic Sea.

Thomas Halkjær Kristensen, CEO of Seasight Solutions, said: “We have been a supplier to the Danish Defence since 1992, but there is no doubt that the partnership agreement with STARK represents a major new milestone for Seasight Solutions. It enables us to become an even stronger player in the defence industry and, in turn, to provide even greater support to Danish and Nordic defence and emergency preparedness organisations with high-tech solutions. At the same time, we are contributing to continued growth and job creation in Western Jutland, which is also very important to us.”
Johannes Arlt, Managing Director Nordics at STARK, said: “Denmark’s position at the gateway to the Baltic Sea makes it central to regional security, including monitoring Russia’s so-called shadow fleet and other potential threats. By combining already existing Danish maritime industrial capacities with STARK’s unmanned systems technology, we are strengthening maritime situational awareness while responding to NATO allies’ growing demand for capabilities that can be rapidly produced, scaled, deployed and adapted to evolving operational needs.”
About Vanta family of systems
STARK’s Vanta family of systems is a jet-driven USV for ISR or sea-based strikes, providing real-time maritime situational awareness above and below the surface. Developed to strengthen naval forces, Vanta is ideally suited to be part of a layered approach to harbour protection. Operating up to 900 NMNM during at low speeds t is designed for 24/7 patrols, or detect-and-effect missions, searching for and autonomously detecting potential threats. When a threat is detected, Vanta can either act as a sensor relay or launch a kinetic effector countermeasure.
